The sequel expands beyond the Trolls universe as we get a glimpse of six different worlds that have all originated their own types of music and culture. From what can be gathered from the trailer, the creative team has found a unique and clever way to add more in-depth layers and character development to the trolls.

When Queen Poppy (Anna Kendrick) and Branch (Justin Timberlake) discover that other Troll worlds exist, they are thrust on a path to create unity amongst the trolls of the differing tribes. Trolls fans are going to love this new animated feature. It showcases one of the most diverse musically talented casts ever. If diversity was a goal, this new trailer indicates that there is going to be a little something included for everyone.

For lovers of art, animation and vivid imagery, it appears that the visuals in Trolls World Tour will definitely not disappoint. For parents looking for life lessons in animated films for their kids, it appears that there will be plenty of lessons about embracing the ‘other’ and difference within this film.

Blige, Anthony Ramos, Karan Soni, Flula Borg, George Clinton and Jamie Dornan. The movie hits theaters on April 2020.
